Drawing as a Technique to Lower Anxiety

Click here to register for this workshop.

Psychologists have demonstrated that the simple act of drawing can alleviate anxiety. Even without formal training, drawing for just a few minutes a day can help us lower our sense of stress and feel happier and more relaxed. In this workshop we’ll explore several approaches to drawing, rooted in meditation and in drawing what the eye sees, as a way to distract the mind and relax the body. Participants are encouraged to bring some unlined paper and a pencil or pen to the workshop. No previous experience necessary!
