Mark Ballora participates in DC Art Science Evening Rendezvous series

On Thursday, March 16, associate professor of music technology Mark Ballora participated in a program in the DC Art Science Evening Rendezvous (DASER) series at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC. He gave a presentation titled “Seeing with Your Ears: Data Sonification” that is now available on YouTube

DASER is a monthly discussion forum on art science projects providing a snapshot of the cultural environment of the region and fostering interdisciplinary networking. It is co-sponsored by Cultural Programs of the National Academy of Sciences (CPNAS) and Leonardo, the International Society for the Arts, Sciences, and Technology. The theme of the March forum is Sound and the Deep Blue Sea, and is an outgrowth of the National Academies Keck Futures Initiative conference Discovering the Deep Blue Sea, which Mark attended in November 2016.
