In October 2017, the ADRI hosted the director of the SciArt Center and editor-in-chief of SciArt Magazine—neuroscience-based artist, Julia Buntaine.

Based in New York City, Buntaine traveled to Penn State to provide a dialogue on what it’s like to wear multiple hats in the “SciArt” world, along with a workshop to help artists and students assimilate various applications of their skills outside of the art studio.

ADRI writer, Tommy Butler, caught up with Julia during her stay in Happy Valley. Listen to the podcast of their conversation on everything from how she combines the fields of science and art to where she finds her inspiration.
