This talk will describe sonifications created for Karen Wishner, professor of oceanography at the University of Rhode Island, and colleagues. The work renders measurements of copepod (“sea bug”) populations in ocean oxygen minimum zones, as well as climate-related data created for an introductory Earth sciences course, with a goal of examining impacts of incorporating data sonifications into education.
