Dialogue

Arts and Health

Presented by William J. Doan, PhD, Professor of Theatre; Director, Arts & Design Research Incubator; Artist in Residence, College of Nursing; Penn State Laureate 2019-20

Many Nurses and other healthcare professionals have limited understanding of how to plan, implement, and evaluate the integration of arts-based activities into care for patients and families or into their own research. This seminar aims to deepen understanding about arts-based opportunities and the positive impact they can have on patient well-being while opening doors to exciting new collaborations between nursing and arts/design-based disciplines.
