Storytelling through the One-Person Play

Visiting artist, Donal Courtney is an instructor at the Gaiety School of Acting. He has written and performs a one-person play “God Has No Country” which tells the story of the struggles encountered by Monsignor Hugh O’Flaherty while in Rome during the Nazi occupation. Courtney will discuss his personal connections to Monsignor O’Flaherty’s story and the challenges he faced in creating the piece. “God Has No Country” will be performed at the Pavilion Theatre on Wednesday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m. Sponsored by IES Abroad, the School of Theatre, the Institute for The Arts and Humanities, and the ADRI.
