Working between the fields of theater and healthcare, Marina Tsaplina, a performing artist, patient advocate, and founder of THE BETES Organization (http://www.thebetes.org/) is cultivating space for participants to feel and understand how the complex lived experience of chronic illness is embodied.

A 1-hour performance and discussion will be followed by a workshop that will provide insight into the developing methodology and impact of THE BETES Organization in using puppetry, performing objects and theater to work across all sectors of the diabetes health ecosystem.
